1. Assassins Creed Origins

With so many places and eras immortalized by Assassin’s Creed over the years, it’s no surprise that Ancient Egypt became one of its best. Leading the protagonist Bayek through Cairo’s busy villages and shops, floating down the Nile, and unraveling the mysteries of the pyramids and buried stories in this open-world adventure is an unforgettable experience for players and Egyptology aficionados alike.

Assassin’s Creed Origins provided players with an accurate depiction of Ancient Egypt that Egyptologists have even used to teach Egyptian history.

2. Smite

Smite is a game of gods, and many of its characters are inspired by Ancient Egyptian mythology. Along with apparent MVPs like Osiris and Anubis, there are a few lesser-known but equally fascinating deities like Geb and Neith.

While it is not exclusively about Egypt, this ancient civilization boasts one of the most extensive pantheons of magical entities. Sobek is a personal fave.

3. Egyptian Senet

Senet, widely regarded as the world’s oldest board game, was made into a video game in 2013. The game represents the human spirit as it travels through the numerous hardships and tribulations of the Egyptian afterlife, as detailed in the ancient Book of the Dead.

The goal is to reach the final space and exit the board, just as the Ancient Egyptians hoped to depart the afterlife and be reincarnated. Egyptian Senet, a board game simulator, does an excellent job of recreating the game’s symbolic relevance in Ancient Egyptian religion through music and artwork, providing players with an intriguing peek into how Ancient Egyptians interpreted themes of death and the hereafter.

4. Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King

Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King is not a well-known title. Deck13 created this game, which launched on the PC in 2005 and the Nintendo DS in 2008. In this game, players will take on the role of Assil, the son of a well-known Cairo architect.

He unintentionally smashed several jars and disturbed the mummy resting in the Pyramid while partying with two of his pals. Assil was punished by the mummy by putting a death curse on him, and he had 24 hours to remove the spell. To get free of the curse, Assil must complete various missions involving the discovery of some secret artifacts.

5. Titan Quest

Titan Quest, an isometric action RPG set in Ancient Egypt, Greece, and the Silk Road to Asia, immerses players in a world filled with randomly created hazardous animals. Players will travel across this vast area doing missions, visiting cities and towns to obtain stuff and trade, and upgrading their character through skill tree-based options called Masteries.

Fight, improve, and get closer to locating the terrible Telkines responsible for wreaking havoc on the globe. Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, published ten years after its first release, offers restored and improved multiplayer capability and increased performance and mod support.

6. Age of Pyramids: Ancient Egypt

Frismos Games’ Age of Pyramids: Ancient Egypt is a beautiful illustration of how this works, as players are challenged to develop their own civilization on the banks of the Nile. As your population expands, you can construct temples, create amazing creatures, and summon well-known Egyptian deities such as Anubis, Horus, and Osiris.
